Our trip starts from Kattampally kayaking point to Valluvankadavu and reaches by 9:00 AM in the morning. We enter the enchanting Valluvan Kadavu by walking. Valluvankadavu is located in Narath grama panchayath near Kattampally in Kannur district Kerala. This place is famous for the fabulous backwater and farming. The great Valluvankadavu Muthappan temple is so popular for this place.
PADDY FIELD VISIT AND HARVESTING
Valluvan Kadavu is famous for its paddy fields and paddy
cultivation. It starts here in the month of April and ends in the month of
September. Here you can experience the planting of saplings in the month of
April and harvest in the month of September. You can learn from the farmers
there how paddy is grown and what it does and also experience the harvesting.
It is best to wear a short dress to get down to the paddy fields.
TRADITIONAL STYLE FISHING EXPERIENCE
In addition to being an outdoor recreation activity
for residents in each state, fishing can also be considered a form of tourism
when anglers cross state lines to go fishing. Efforts are underway in each
state to promote tourism, including recreational fishing, in the name of
economic development. The presence of a fishing port with boats and – to a
lesser extent – the possibility of buying freshly caught fish can increase the
willingness of tourists to visit a Back water area.

In this area on one side high density mangrove patches
and on the other side completely degraded mangroves can be seen clearly. You
can see the mangrove plantation which started operation in the year of 2021as
part of NREGS (NATIONAL RURAL EMPLOYMENT GENERATION SCHEME)

Here you can experience the calm and pleasant atmosphere and
also can exchange knowledge and information among the devotees. Divinity it’s a
blissful place for refreshing minds by boosting positive energy. You can
meditate by focusing on the divine sculpture of kottancheri puthiya Bhagavathi
Temple.
VISIT KERALA-STYLE TRADITIONAL VILLA
Traditional houses of Kerala are still relevant. People have
preserved their homes and the concepts of vernacular architectural designs.
Houses are constructed as per Vaastu Shastra, which suggests the east and north
direction for the entry of a house. Besides aesthetics and comfort, the houses

VISIT VALLUVANKADAVU MUTHAPPAN TEMPLE
The Valluvan Kadav Sree Muthappan Temple is a 400-year-old
temple that was recently renovated completely, drawing large numbers of
devotees to this temple situated in Kannadiparamba in Kannur district. Temple
will be open on all days from 5 am to 10 am and 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Ottu and
Vellattam will be conducted on all Sundays. Thiruvappana and Vellattam on all
first Sunday and Monday of each month. Thiruvappana FESTIVAL will be conducted
from January 1 to January 7.

the period of Kali Yuga. Muthappan is known under varied names like
